The Sharpest Knife in the Drawer

I can`t believe it folks, another blockbuster week for the Straight Goods, the Kash Heed affair has come full circle, it`s not a question of if Kash Heed is removed from office but when.....

The silence from Gordon Campbell on Kash Heed is "deafening"....I don`t want to rehash the whole scandal but in a nut shell...

Kash Heed is an idiot, his entire election team have been caught lying, fudging the books, direct links and paperwork tying the Kash Heed campaign key players to the illegal hate pamphlets that were sent out, some even hand delivered... Illegal disgusting Nazi type of propaganda designed throw the election, we have proof of false and mis-leading documents being submitted to Elections BC, now we have another direct link to a millionaire cranberry farmer Peter Dhillion who paid another   $7500 dollars to the printing outfit in Richmond via Barinder Sall and Sameer Ismail while denying  he even knew Kash Heed....... That`s hilarious, Peter Dhillion is not only seen with Kash Heed but photographed with him on stage celebrating that election victory! Kash Heed and Peter Dhillion on stage together, arm and arm celebrating Heed`s fraudulent election victory, the photograph on Barinder Sall`s personal camera phone.......How many more lies, half truths, shaky stories, my dog ate my homework...Whatever....In other words, we have several obstruction of justice charges, we have illegal hate pamphlets, we have breach of trust, lying to the police, we have false accounting papers submitted to Elections BC, we have Kash Heed using the furniture allowance money to pay Barinder Sall and Sameer Ismail, pay them for what?, Sameer states the payment is for designing the anti-ndp hate literature.....We have a mix of criminal charges and Election law breaches, either way.....

What we have is shocking and Kash Heed cannot morally hold office, a not guilty plea would mean that Heed would probably serve out his term(with pay) for the entire 4 years, this can`t stand, the premier of BC must strip Kash Heed of his MLAship....And finally, if Kash Heed chooses to fight in court, Kash Heed if found guilty or negligent, or ignorant of the process he bears ultimate responsibility, Kash Heed will HAVE to PAY all his own lawyer fees and court costs, both sides!.....Do you feel lucky Kash Heed?....Roll the dice or resign!..Man up Gordon Campbell, discipline your party or resign, I am not interested in hearing your throne speech and budget while you remain silent on a dysfunctional, corrupt, illegal Government.

I digress, look folks, we called this day last year, Kash Heed is done, John Les should have been charged and removed from office too, the deaf dumb and blind office boss defense won`t fly with Heed, the John Les investigation was botched, in my opinion the special prosecutor Robin Mcfee failed the public and ignored the evidence, John Les knows what he did, his staff, wink, nod and envelope slide and deals are made, after the "Mock BC Rail Trial" the public won`t accept more justice denied! ...

You may well be a critic of the RCMP Kash, who isn`t, your conspiracy theory is bogus, put up or resign!

The Adrian Dix affair, well, what a bunch of media noise and whining, I can remember when there was only the 6 BC Liberal flunkies vying to take over Campbell`s corruption party, before any NDPers had even entered the leadership race  there was all the talk from Falcon, Clark, De Jong, Abbott, all the talk about using their Indo-Canadian roots(insert laughter here), the yammering on the radio from these clowns about signing up new members for their party, Cluck Cluck on radio begging listeners to pull out their credit card and join the BC Liberals and vote for  Christy..WEE WEE WEE...It was shameful, everything was fine with the big media and cknw as long as it was BC Liberals signing up people by hook or by crook but .....Oh the humanity if a NDPer signed up thousands of new members....

Harry Lali, he claimed success with sign ups and jumped in the game first, now Harry is whining like a school girl, well folks, first off Harry Lali was never going to win, that should make David Schrek and Ian Reid giddy with joy...

Let me be perfectly clear, the big media didn`t care about BC Liberal bulk membership sign ups, it appears to me that it`s only bad if the NDP did it...Typical double standard media!

As for Adrian Dix, you see folks it doesn`t matter, it`s called Karma, Adrian Dix won`t be leader, the remaining NDPers will see that the same big media will crucify Adrian Dix, when someone like Lali realizes his chances are up his sign ups will be directed towards the one and only John Horgan....

It`s estimated that Adrian brought in about 5000 sign ups, impressive, add that to the 12,000 existing members and....And what most don`t realize is that there was another 7500 NDP sign ups, bringing the total to 24,000 thousand members!..

And isn`t that amazing, the media, the whiners, the Schrek`s, the Reid`s, the Carole James`s pout brigade, all these fools who claimed the NDP cut their throat by dumping the perennial loser Carole James yet to this watcher of the world it appears that the public have never ever had more interest in the NDP....Carole`s gone and people want to join, I would expect that Schrek and Reid will finally jump on this winning party, better late than never!

Meanwhile, who`s talking, who`s making common sense, not new family holidays, not merit pay for teachers, not kids voting, not town meetings, not rhetoric....No one is talking about the real issues except one....Horgan.....

John Horgan.....We here at the Straight Goods have talked taxing issues with Mr. Horgan in the past and he is the only one prepared to take on the issue, not the smoke and mirrors bullshit but real cause and effect...Horgan will start a tax commission, one to study Government revenue sources, who pays what, what we need for Government programs, Horgan has vowed to investigate and mitigate taxation through stealth, through MSP premiums and the one he is most familiar with, Taxation through BC Hydro rates..

Let me be perfectly clear, Horgan will (If Premier) remove the HST if the people vote the tax down, but Horgan isn`t just making statements, in his latest news release it`s very clear Horgan recognizes that the Campbell Liberal taxation regime is benefiting the few while harming the many, BC Hydro energy contracts that siphon money right out of the country, Teck Cominco, massive profits and it matters not what their tax rate is they won`t lower consumer prices, Carbon taxes, user fees, MSP premiums, Hydro rates, Ferry rates, eco fees and now the HST while BC has never shed so many jobs so quickly, at a time of traditional employment gains BC lost 22,500 jobs, full time jobs...

Horgan is not one to bullshit the public, health care and education cost money, taxation pays for these programs, the question is...Who is going to pay the public, the corporation, the wealthy, the middle class, Horgan`s answer is everyone will pay their fair share, Horgan is well aware that BC`s economy of 80% internal, small business, the individual, if the (one) has no money he stops buying, consumer confidence and a sense of fairness must be returned to the world of taxation,..... No friends...

Horgan isn`t talking about fluff, about FST tests, Horgan isn`t talking about town hall meeting`s or propaganda advertising from Government....

Horgan is talking about The Straight Goods on taxation free from the spin cycle, no Fraser institute, no Flip Flop Jack Mintz, no John Winters, no Hocstein, who wants to join with Horgan in that conversation?

Below if Horgan`s latest news release.

HORGAN CALLS FOR FAIR TAX COMMISSION

BURNABY—NDP leadership candidate and Juan de Fuca MLA John Horgan announced that under his leadership, government would establish a Fair Tax Commission responsible for examining and reporting on the total impact of the HST, provincial taxation, user fees, licences, natural resource royalties and the range of other government imposed costs on citizens and businesses. Horgan made the announcement on Thursday evening to an enthusiastic crowd of Burnaby New Democrats and supporters.
“For the past decade, the BC Liberals have made income tax and business tax cuts that benefit the wealthy few, while boosting the burden on ordinary British Columbians with the HST, MSP premium increases, hydro rate hikes and a whole host of licensing and user fees,” said Horgan. “This reliance on taxation-by-stealth is both bad public policy and breeds contempt for our public institutions.”
The Fair Tax Commission would produce a comprehensive report on how government raises the revenues it needs to pay for vital public services and ensure that citizens, small businesses and corporations have a full understanding of what they contribute to the province’s coffers.
“The negative impact of the HST and the uncertainty over the future of the tax undermine consumer confidence, small businesses and the investment climate,” said Horgan. “Should the tax be repealed this year, government will need to develop a smarter plan for how it is going to raise revenues without simply shifting costs onto ordinary citizens.”
Horgan grew up on Southern Vancouver Island and has lived in Langford, west of Victoria for the past two decades where he and his wife Ellie raised their sons Nate and Evan. John received degrees from Trent University in Ontario and Sydney University in Australia and has worked in the House of Commons in Ottawa and in a variety of positions in the provincial public service. Horgan was elected in 2005 and 2009 and represents the constituency of Juan de Fuca which ranges from the remote west coast of Vancouver Island to the bustling community Langford, one of the fastest-growing urban centres in the province.

Lastly folks, I hear it from the stooge media all the time, they ask oppositions the question/s....."How would you fix everything, give us your solutions"...Or something like that....We must remember this is a leadership contest for the NDP that decides who is "opposition" leader(not premier) ....In other words, whoever wins the NDP leadership  90 days from now will have no power, .....

Whoever wins the BC Liberal campaign will soon be in charge and make decisions, the onus is on the BC Liberal leaders to say in clear terms what they will do,.....

Right now, before the Election Writ is dropped the NDP or any party can`t divulge great ideas, any good ideas or sound plans presented by oppositions this far out of an election are likely to be copied or stolen with no credit given!

John Horgan has the courage to at least get the talks going, let`s start with taxation and the HST!

Premier John Horgan. Sounds good to me. I signed up because I don't see anyone, anywhere, even close to the public pulse as John Horgan.

Good god, Dix and his cronies just don't get it and the NDP operantly don't get it either. The public have a great distaste for so called ballot stuffing and mass sign-ups with oodles of money in brown paper bags.

If Horgan becomes the leader, I just might vote NDP, Lali too come to think of it, but my god, those Glen Clark retreads just give me the shivers!

The Liberals, what a complete joke, a sad ship of fools who seem to have missed the boat. Sadly they have too many "tailgunner Joes" supporting them.

Dr. Evil....I am not defending Adrian Dix, I was pointing out that it wasn`t an issue with the media when it was only BC Liberals presenting bulk memberships..

As for Dix, it was obvious he was collecting for weeks, real shoddy the way he presented them in the final hour...Dix outsmarted himself...

Dix should have brought in memberships bit by bit and made clear he was running, instead he played sneaky, if his past was snow white it would be OK...

But with his skeletons and now these borderline antics he cut his own throat!...Karma folks.

Cheers

Bad post at Laila's place. You should apoligise.

Istvan...Are you talking about me comment at Laila`s?

I will not apologize to no one...

Let me explain something, if you knew how to save a company, would you tell yout rival your plan when he was still in charge?

There have been several bills presented as private member`s bills, they get rejected by the majority, they get tweaked and re-presented as a Government bill, no credit ever gets assigned to the other side.

That`s politics, she lumped in Horgan who has articles published in the Victoria times, answers questions, returns calls,.....

One step at a rime, Laila forgot this isn`t a general election...YET!

Grant, I think if Horgan wants to establish a "fair tax commission" he should first state that he will repeal the HST immediately. We don't need any more delays at $200,000,000 per month from our pockets.

Grant, Laila said that John Horgan is Moe Sihota's candidate. I hate Sihota with a vengeance and now I'm so disheartened. It's like letting all of the air out of a balloon.

We still have a long way to go, with the BC Liberals. There won't be much left of this province, when they get done. I really like Horgan. However, big business will never stand for, paying their fair share of taxes. Only an idiot would fail to see, the HST is killing BC, as we knew it would. Big business, were very clear, they had a lot of money, to give to Campbell, to fight to keep the HST. Campbell is using every dirty tactic, against the citizens, fight HST/recall people. The HST, was never about, what is good for the province and the people. The HST was designed for big business, and big business only. Harper the other snake in the grass, gets all of BC's HST. And, that's the last we have seen of our stolen, forced HST. BC is the most corrupt province in Canada, because of Campbell and the BC Liberals. We have our dictator, the henchmen, the propaganda media, the police state. Ask the WW11 veterans.

And what does Laila know about the NDP?....Sihota has nothing to do with Horgan...

Laila`s last post was a bust, not her writing`s but her premise...

I will repeat it again, oppositions can`t give away their every idea years before an election, would you tell your rival(Like say your boss) about a better mouse trap, would your boss give you the credit or would your boss use your idea to advance his own career!

Laila and most of her contributors live in fantasy land(politically)...Talk of complete platforms by oppositions and how they and their laid out ideas will save the world.

Horgan decided to run on New Years night,no Sihota, just Horgan and a few friends and a little persuasion from the persuader...Sihota has nothing to do with Horgan....

That`s not to say that Sihota doesn`t believe Horgan isn`t the best candidate...It`s obvious that Horgan is a cut above the rest...But as for baseless rumours...

We get enough of those from the BC Liberals

I respect Laila's opinions, however she unfortunately does not realize that the function of the oppostion is to suggest, expose, ridicule, inform, and confront government. Opposittion has absolutely no power to initiate any kind of change in policy or law of the elected majority. To blame certain members of the opposition in trying to do so is unrealistic at the least. That however, doesn't mean we shouldn't keep our elected representatives held accountable. Thank goodness for the recall process. I just hope it works!

The ndp could run a god damn monkey and it would be an improvement on the criminal bclibbers. Lets keep it in perspective - no matter who from the ndp ranks rises to the top - it will be an improvement from criminal -CRIMINAL- to someone that is interested in BC.

NO MATTER WHAT AN NDP GOV'T WOULD BE A LIFE-CHANGING POSITIVE CHANGE FOR THIS PROVINCE - and that is the message we need to get out.

I am putting my faith in John Horgan. Perhaps, the BC people will be able, to have some sunny days in our lives. What we have now, every day in our lives, because of Campbell and the BC Liberals are, lies, deceit, crap and corruption. That's what we have to look forward to, until 2013. The Liberal candidates support Campbell's insanity. They will be no better than he is. Thieving our tax dollars, to pay the two patsies legal bills, is a hell of a lot of gall. Campbell steals the BCR, and, now the tax payers pay Campbell, for thieving it from us. Typical, the BC Liberals thieve from us, and we pay them for doing so. That s.o.b. Campbell belongs in prison, for many good reasons.
